SLEducation is designed for individuals with ASD and those with social communication differences, aged 13 and above. Sessions are suitable for anyone with basic verbal language and a basic level of listening and reading comprehension who would benefit from dedicated, practical social skills support. Both individuals and parents or carers can book sessions.
SLEducation offers a Short Course (5 sessions of your choice) for HKD 3,000, and a Full Course (10 sessions of your choice) for HKD 5,500. Full pricing and course details are available in our downloadable Services Guide. Conversion to your local currency is available on request. To discuss which option suits you best, book your free 20-minute consultation.
SLEducation is an educational service, not a therapeutic one. Sessions focus on teaching and practising specific communication and life skills and are not a substitute for clinical therapy or medical intervention. SLEducation resources, however, can complement existing therapeutic and counselling work and can be suitable for use by professionals in those settings. If you are unsure whether sessions are appropriate for your situation, please get in touch for a conversation before booking.
Training built around fixed responses to fixed situations runs into a problem: real life is unpredictable, and a fixed response fails the moment something unexpected happens. SLEducation uses improvisation as a practice tool. Individuals practise responding flexibly to real, spontaneous situations in a comfortable, supportive environment. This builds genuinely transferable skills rather than memorised responses.
Yes, completely. No political or religious viewpoint is brought into any session or resource. It is not the role of an educator to influence a student's political or religious beliefs. Sessions focus purely on skill development, using clear facts and evidence. Students are supported to think for themselves and reach their own conclusions. A student's values and beliefs are their own.
Sessions are approximately one hour long. The first part (around 35 minutes) covers structured teaching of a specific skill or social environment. The second part (around 25 minutes) is live improvisation practice using real-life scenarios. A full feedback report is then sent within 48 hours.
All sessions take place online via video call. SLEducation is fully online and available to individuals and families anywhere in the world. Please contact us to discuss time zones if you are outside the UK, Macau, or Hong Kong.
The free consultation is a 20-minute video call with Michelle. It is a chance for you to ask any questions about the approach, discuss your situation, and find out if SLEducation is the right fit. Course options and pricing are available in our downloadable Services Guide, so you can come to the call already knowing your options. There is no obligation to book sessions afterwards.
Yes, one-off sessions are available. However, they are priced higher than sessions within a package. It is worth noting that social and communication skills cannot be developed quickly — consistent practice over time is what produces lasting progress. Packages are therefore recommended for individuals working on broader communication and social skills development. One-off sessions are most useful for specific, focused goals such as preparing for a job interview.
Yes, navigating romantic relationships and dating is an area that many individuals with ASD find particularly challenging. SLEducation can cover this as a session topic. However, this service is only available for individuals aged 18 and above.
Yes. While SLEducation is designed with teenagers (13+) as the primary audience, sessions are equally suitable for adults. The content and scenarios are adapted to be relevant to the individual's actual life stage and goals.
Unfortunately SLEducation sessions are not suitable for non-verbal individuals. Sessions require basic verbal communication as improvisation and roleplay are central to the approach.
This is completely understandable. The first session is always relaxed and conversational with no pressure to jump straight into improvisation. Michelle works at the individual's pace and builds comfort gradually.
This varies depending on the individual's goals and starting point. A package of 5 sessions is a good starting point for focused skill development. A package of 10 sessions allows for broader and more in-depth progress across multiple areas.
There is no upper age limit. Social and communication skills can be developed at any age and sessions are adapted to suit the individual's life stage and goals.
Sessions are not recorded by default. If recording is something you would like to discuss, please raise this during your free consultation.
Yes. Sessions are available to individuals aged 13 and above. Anyone under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to book. Parents are encouraged to be involved in the intake process and will receive feedback reports after every session.
Sessions require a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will result in the loss of that session from your package. If SLEducation needs to cancel a session for any reason, it will always be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
Yes. Resources are available to purchase separately via TES and Teachers Pay Teachers. They can be used independently by individuals, parents, or professionals without any requirement to book 1:1 sessions.

Yes. Custom social and life skills materials can be designed to target specific learning goals, real-world situations, and individual cognitive or communication needs. Contact Michelle at info@sleducation.co.uk to discuss.
